Quiz #2 Evaluation of site

As a future journalist I always search a good, reliable and serious source of information. As an example of online participant journalism I want to describe a charachteristics of http://www.megapolis.kz/ site. It is the online version of newspaper. The site is more demanded than print version, because it is more productive to owners of site. Why? Because there is going evaluation of posted materials, so the quality of provided information is always in control of readers. Site is more close to official web site of newspapers as NYTimes, however, there are special area for advertisements, some entertainments. Also there are provided many links to other relevant and important information by interest. The headlines of news goes from new to old one due to timeliness. It was the brief description of site.

I can identify this site as participatory journalism site, because there is always support connection between journalists, reporters with potential audience. Among the audience there are experts, politicians and citizens. The site includes its forum:  http://www.megapolis.kz/forum/ and the section where provided contact with editor and reporters: http://www.megapolis.kz/feedback.php. The main rules of participation are respect others opinions, first of all respect done work of reporter. To provide the proovements to any kind of comment. Write in an adequate way. One thing that i would like to mention about who and how participate is that anyone can “offer” reporter to write about the self- interested news, for example send a mail about the problem and ask to provide the information or help by announcing such problem and etcetera.

The news is the main goal and objective of this site, so it mainly focuses on providing hard news, daily news and so on. The readers are generally satisfyied with the objectivity of news. It seems to me that reporters have to work much on accuracy of materials. Some of posts are consider sneer to main hero of news, politician or celebrity.

I evaluate the site as high quality, usefull sourse of information.

Name’s Bond, James Bond

James Bond – fictioned charachter created by British journalist Ian Fleming in 1952 while the holiday in Jamaican state Golden eye. He featured James Bond in 12 novels and two short stories. By EON Production was filmed 22 movies about legendary spy. The latest movie is called The Quantum of Solace.

Sir James Bond - the agent of British Secret Intelligence Service(SIS). His serial code name was 007 which gave the licence to murder. Actually, the name James Bond came from American ornithologist, whose name liked Fleming.

During the all Bondian’s films there were changed over the eight actors. The main memorable and fascinating actors were Sean Connery, starred in six films; George Lazenby replaced Connery for one film until he replayed by Roger Moore (for 7 films), Timothy Dalton (for 2 films), Pierce Brosnan (for 4 films) and Daniel Craig.

My communities and needs.

Being a part of community is the principal thing for almost every person. I am not the exception. I have membership in many communities, but i want to describe following two communities.

First one is AMANAT community. The main goal of AMANAT is to rise the status of Kazakh language and Kazakh traditions. To teach foreighners this beautiful language. Being a member of this community gave me a lot opportunities to express myself as a part of big machine, which works to good things. 

The main strength of my community is that we have a lot members, who are very hardworking, creative and smart. We do a lot works and trying to do it as effectively as possible. The weaknesses of the AMANAT community is that we haven’t got the financial support, but we believe that it is timeliness situation.

Another one community, in which I have membership is “Street folks” hip-hop dance community. Well, I have been a member of this community for 1,5 years. The number of members in our community is only 12 people, except teacher. I feel myself in this community like in a second family, because we have one common interest – we love dancing. This community in my point of view hasn’t got any weaknesses. I love my communities and enjoy being a member of them.

What is Journalism?

Journalism – main official information provider. It a special thing, which influence to whole world. It is a link between government and society particularly. It’s obligation is to truth, factual information. As it was said by American president: ” No one country will be alive without the free journalism”.

Journalism – makes a sense to people, that someone (journalists, reporters) do work, try for them. First of all, journalism “speak” with the voice of citizens, it protects interests of simple people.  It provides interesting, live news.

Journalist – the person, for whom, there is no closed topics. Many journalists use expression: “If journalist is not welcomed from door, he go through window.” It uses only for politicians, everything related to society, for simple citizens, everything which can influence people.
